GROAPELE CHIUZBĂII - BORCUT - IGNIȘ PEAK

The marked trail starts from Groapele Chiuzbăii (7 km from Baia Sprie), ascending north through meadows. It passes by Borcutul Chiuzbăii, then ascends to the forest edge, located in a small saddle on the ridge separating the Jidovoaia Valley from the Limpedea Valley. The trail then veers right, climbs a spur, and then meanders left along a level path, later curving to the right on a small ravine, crossing a forest road at the end. Moving upstream, the trail becomes steeper as it passes through an area with young vegetation, leading to the base of the rocky cliffs of Igniș. The trail continues climbing along a rocky gully, reaching an alpine meadow at the Fântâna Neamțului spring. From here, there are still 10 minutes of ascent to the summit through the alpine meadow.
