ROCK CLIMBING
The Baia Sprie area and its surroundings offer numerous opportunities for rock climbing in a spectacular natural setting, suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. The volcanic relief of the Gutâi Mountains, the diversity of rock formations, and the proximity to the city make this region one of the most attractive in northwestern Romania for mountain sports.
The main climbing landmarks are The Rooster`s Crest (Creasta Cocoșului), Piatra lui Vlaicu (Vlaicu`s Rock), Marcu`s Tower (Turnul Marcului) and Lespezi-Igniș.
