Crăpătura Zorilor is an impressive mining work, estimated to be from the 16th century, which is found in Dealul Minei, on the left side of the Borcutului Valley. This surface work takes the form of a canyon, with an average width of about 4 m. The northern wall develops galleries, and in the southern wall it intersects with a gallery from the Baia Sprie Mine system. The Crack of Dawn has a spectacular morphology, as the old galleries were mined by hand, and appear as overlapping or suspended. Due to its uniqueness, it has become one of the most interesting geological-mining tourist attractions.
