The trail starts at the Roman Catholic Church in Baia Sprie and follows the red cross trail marker, then enters the forest to the right following the yellow cross marker, eventually reaching the Blue Lake. The descent follows a gentler slope along the blue cross trail, which leads to the former mine and then back to the town.
